The consultation call is a good time to ask more about cost, insurance, or logistics — before you commit to anything. Betsey is a private-pay, out-of-network provider. Many clients receive partial reimbursement through their insurance — here's everything you need to know.
Fees
Individual therapy sessions: 60 minutes $300
Couples therapy sessions: 60 minutes $350, 90 minutes $525
Discernment Counseling sessions: 1st 2-hour session $800. Sessions 2-5, 90 minutes $600
Nurture Our Nest program: Eight 60 minute sessions $2,500, $315 each additional 60 minutes, as needed/wanted
Using your out-of-network benefits
Many clients with PPO or POS plans can submit for partial reimbursement. Betsey provides a superbill — an itemized receipt with the codes your insurer needs — after each session.
Before your first appointment, call the member services number on your insurance card and ask:
Do I have out-of-network mental health benefits?
What is my out-of-network deductible, and has any of it been met?
What percentage of the allowed amount will I be reimbursed after the deductible?
Is there a session limit per calendar year?
Do I need a referral from my primary care physician?
Common questions
Do you offer a sliding scale? Betsey has a limited number of reduced-fee spots available to clients demonstrating a need.
How do I pay? Payment is due at the time of service. Betsey accepts credit cards, debit cards, HSA/FSA cards, and check.
What is your cancellation policy? Please provide at least 24 hours notice to cancel or reschedule. Late cancellations and no-shows are charged the full session fee.
Is tele-health available? Yes. Betsey offers tele-health sessions for clients residing in CA, CT, FL, NY.
